Peakpowder has its roots in steep skiing and freeride skiing. We are pioneers in this specific discipline. Our team of IFMGA professionals are trained and highly qualified to guide steep ski & snowboard lines. We travel around the world to ski and snowboard some of the best steep lines there are!

Snow conditions on steep faces and couloirs are extremely subtle and can change quickly. The exact choice of ski descents is made by the Peakpowder IFMGA mountain guide. Based of the snow and weather conditions on the given day, your previous experience and technical skiing ability, the guide will suggest various options. Please note that conditions may even change during the course of one day. If needed, Peakpowder can provide a safety pack for each participant including avalanche beacon, shovel, probe pole, harness & ice axe(if required).

BASE CAMP CHAMONIX

Chamonix: the world capital of freeride and steep skiing! This is an ideal base camp for those seeking to discover the steep lines and couloirs within the Mt. Blanc range. With runs reaching up to 3800m of vertical, the ski lines are challenging and demand an excellent technique. If conditions are not ideal on the French side of the mountain range, it is possible to reach Verbier, Courmayeur, the Helbronner and other ski areas nearby with a short drive. After many years of searching, Peakpowder confirms that Chamonix is unique. Not only does this area offer great diversity in the types of terrain, but most of all, there are no down days. It is always possible to ski, regardless of what’s happening with the snow and weather conditions.

Open to riders who are comfortable in all snow types & all types of terrain. Riders are required to fill in the Peakpowder ski evaluation form..

IFMGA mountain guide instruction for steep skiing or snowboarding starting from 450 EUR per day for 1 person, 500 EUR per day for 2 persons (maximum of 2 riders per group). Please contact us for further details.

Steep Ski Tour du Mont Blanc

A little 2 day adventure which allows you to do a tour of Mont Blanc. Steep ski lines including two of the most beautiful steep ski descents within the Mont Blanc range: south face of the Tour Ronde with the Brenva glacier and the north ridge of the Dôme du Goûter ou the Grand couloir of the Aiguille du Goûter, depending of  your technical skiing experience. A total climb of  700m positive meters with a total downhill of 4600m! High altitude skiing with scenery that blows your mind! Let’s take you to the next level!

Steep Ski the DOLOMITES

The Italian Tyrol offers incredible couloirs that are nestled in limestone towers with steep slopes and serious vertical. This is the land of long, slim couloirs in the midst of natural grand canyons A 3 to 5 day trip is ideal to tackle these steep couloirs and get a taste of the Dolomite madness.

Ski pente raide, COULOIR MARINELLI

Le couloir Marinelli est situé dans la face Est du Mont Rose. C’est le plus grand couloir d’Europe et il demande une très bonne expérience de skieur de montagne car descendre 3000m en versant Est impose d’être efficace. La période idéale pour la descente de ce couloir est entre avril et juin, selon les conditions.

L’Ouest canadien n’est pas réservé aux cowboys. Peakpowder avec sa double nationalité travaille depuis le début dans cette partie du monde qu’on affectionne tout particulièrement. Des montagnes à perte de vue, des possibilités infinies pour les adeptes du ski alpinisme et splitboard. Ici, la pente raide et l’aventure prennent tous leurs sens.
