Chamonix Mountain Biking School

5 incredible locations for world class mountain biking in Chamonix Mont Blanc!

Our base camp is at an altitude of 1500m (4900ft) at the base of the Balme-Le Tour bike park. Peakpowder Guides is a mountain biking school that is set in the heart of the French Alps, a leader in guiding Enduro and DH in the Chamonix valley. Our exceptional location gives us a quick and easy access to all types of riding terrain. Within the Chamonix valley, mountain biking is mainly focused on Enduro et Downhill riding at 2 main bike parts: Balme-Le Tour & Les Houches. On top of these 2 bike parts, one can use the following lifts to access more terrain: Brévent, Flégère and Lognan-Les Grands Montets. The valley offers a total of  5 different locations in which we can ride fun and unique runs with amazing scenery in the background. There is even more riding potential when we add the fact that Peakpowder Guides crosses the borders into Switzerland and Italy. Technical and challenging runs, with more than 2300m (7500ft) vertical and 30km (18 miles) downhill await you! Beautiful larch & pine forests, alpine single tracks and the Mont Blanc in the background…there is terrain for all types of riders, and all ability levels.
Guides are IFMGA mountain guides with a MTB qualification and all of them speak both French and English.
