An early morning chill, but an all-round beautiful autumn day and excellent climbing conditions...almost winter conditions for this route that has certainly changed. A big thank you to Claude and his team of the Albert 1er mountain hut. Eventhough the hut was officially closed, Claude gave us a hearty welcome...4* mountain hut accomodation! This is one of the busiest huts in the Mt. Blanc mountain range. When it's empty and one can take advantage of there being no clients up there, Claude offers up comfy duvets, keeping us toasty warm. These luxuries don't make getting up in the middle of the night very easy...

Punch Line - the film. A movie that brings us back to the world of winter. Beautiful images, great lines, good skiing and lots of young guns that are ripping it up! Some of these riders were coached by Fred, some ????? years ago. Yes, time flies, and way too fast. Check out the teaser of Zapiks.com or Skipass.com. It's worth it. Peakpowder is invited to the launching of the film in the Salle Olca in Les Houches. We'll have a chance to have a coffee and talk about the new school backcountry skiing. FYI: remember that we offer early season special rates for our ski days, and these are valid through to December 24th!
